Summary Statements on each units completed!

Unit 11

This unit is not that hard, the Spring team understands the whole thing. We all really get this unit and know this from our guts, and, in addition, we really know this very deeply. One of our team member, Daphne, know about the French Revolution really well. Another team member, Jennifer, really know about The Bastille. She knows the bastille and all the details from her gut. She can explain to everyone in detail. The other 2 members of the team are average at all of the topics.
We learnt that France was a country that was not well governed. France was governed by a king, called Louis XVI. He got married to a wife named Marie Antoinette. Marie Antoinette is rumored that she had many lovers, both male and female, she wasted money also called extravagant that she bought a necklace that costs 1.6 million livers (French money) and she interfered in the running of the court.
The king was to be stated as the one who is appointed by God, very rich and rules over everyone! On the other hand, the first estates are the ones who are the clergy, they are rich and pray to God. The second estates are the nobles, they are rich and they fight for the king. The last one is the third estates, they are the “everyone else” they are poor and farm the land.

According to the Spring team, this unit is not, hard, but since we are not used to have lots of tests and projects all at once, we are a little bit bad at this thing. We think that we will improve as time goes by, because we  will be a bit more used to it.

Unit 12

This unit is okay. We understand everything. We know this unit from the gut, and plus, we did a lot of research on this unit, we also try to analyze everything in this unit, and we get a lot better at this unit, because we understand it. The key to master something, is just to understand and analyze it, and we did exactly that, we also often meet together during study and reading time. We sometimes discuss the topics about history, so we can understand it better. One member of the Spring team, Jennifer, really understand about the escape of the royal family. She can tell all about it. She usually helps the team to understand the topic. The team usually ask her help understand stuff, and she will help her team understand it.
On the last unit, we felt a bit uneasy, because we are really new to the test and project environment but now, we feel a bit better, we got a little more used it. We learnt a lot from this unit. We learnt that Louis XVI and his family escapes from Paris, France so that they can live a better life! He also wanted support from other countries. It is also to help Louis restore Louis XVI to full power.
The story of that day was like this: The king was disguised as a maid or something, and then he pretended to talk to his people in the castle. Then, he used a coach provided by the queen’s Swedish admirer, Count Fersen. Meanwhile is Paris, people noticed that the royal family was not there and they needed a king, so they debate in the national assembly. Then, is somme vessel bridge, Duc de Chiseul wait for Louis and his family, but was too late. While, when the royal family was in Saint Menehould, someone notices Lois XVI in a 50 liver note, but Louis XVI didn’t know that, so he just kept quiet. Later, the royal family arrived in Clermont, Louis XVI wanted them to go to Montmedy through Varennes, so they did exacly that, and someone heard it, and wanted to go there and ambush them. In Varennes, they are caught and are brought back.
According to the Spring team, this unit is a bit harder than unit 11, because we try to understand and analyze everything. We can also catch up the things that we need to type, so that we don’t miss any word that Mr. Rick lectures to us, so, overall... this unit is fun and amazing.

Unit 13

This unit is very short. We cover this unit for only 2 weeks. This unit is about Coup d’état. It is the group that Napoleon made with his supporters, the Jacobins and the Sans-Cullotes. This time, we don’t only do research on the Internet, but we also research from books. One of our team members borrowed a book and writes her research in her coursework file.
According to the Spring team, this is the best unit that we have ever learnt, because it is very short and very easy to understand. We even can analyze it very well. Our presentations will be quite short too. But since the topic is so short, we did a research on it. And we dig deeper on this topic. This unit is also very fun, we can know the Coup d’état and many more.
Overall, this unit is the best and most fun unit ever, and also, it is the shortest one, we also get lesser stuff to understand and the concepts are quite easy, not that hard.

Unit 14

This unit is more to battles and all that. We learnt about wars, battles and their tactics used during the battle. We don’t really dig that deep during this unit, because it is super long. It is a bit harder than the unit before. The 1st topic is about “Did Napoleon Betray the Revolution?” and this topic is so long, that it needs 2 days to finish just one topic and it means it covers 1 whole week for History course. We analyze this quite well. This unit is also quite fun, because we can get to know about the battle of Trafalgar, the peninsular war and the Guerilla warfare, and the Spring team is so curious about the wars that Napoleon fought, we already heard about the wars, but never learnt it. So, we are quite curious about it.
According to the Spring team, this unit is quite hard and challenging, but it is fun in the same time, so we are okay about it. Even though this unit is so long and quite challenging, we still enjoy this unit.
Overall, this unit is great and quite fun, and somehow, it is cool. In this topic, we always see battles and wars every time.  Well... maybe not every time, but most of the time.
