Well... according to the Spring team,
History is fun, exciting and awesome. But, there are lots of challenges. The
challenges are super, they are so challenging that we almost spend our time on
preparing things for History everyday. The most challenging thing to do in
History is the portfolio (or as you all say, the blog). The portfolio requires lots of time and it also covers lots of
things. The portfolio makes a very good team work and
this will make us get a better relationship between each other. (Friendship though...) We meet more
than usual. The place that we mostly meet is in school. We spend time doing History
most of the time during Study time in school. The others usually play games and
read awesome books, and we will just do this History portfolio. In addition, we
also have the semester exam, we really need to study for that, so we meet
during Study time and discuss about the materials. We argue some times and we
solve them using the power of research. We always end up with notes, but
sometimes, they are lost, so we need to make other notes again. We write them
on paper, but we type them again on the computer, so it takes much more time.
We shorten it a little so that we will memorize lesser. We originally made 10
pages back to back with the font of 20. There are lots of pages because we did
lots of research. This is a real hard work. But when the time comes, we are
prepared for it.
It is very nice to get good scores.
Especially on exams. We felt very relieved and extremely excited. We cannot
forget about our scores. They are the most unforgettable thing, especially when they are good scores!
The Spring team has mastered on being a
teacher. We thought quite well. The average score of our teaching is about 81%
and it is not bad. It meant that we were on the stage of applying and analyzing
on level 2 of Bloom’s pyramid. It’s not bad. We also learnt the lives of Marie Antoinette, the royal escape, Louis XVI (last king of France), Napoleon Bonaparte and his life and much more! There are so many topics for us to study.
So we get so frustrated, but luckily, we created some exam revision notes, so
we just need to study them. This makes us to prepare for the exam earlier. But, Mr. Rick gave us some study guidelines, so it was great! We will be able to study lesser things! We have 2 types of exams, they are the very hard exams, which is called the HOTS (higher order thinking skills) exam and the very easy (according to Mr. Rick) exams called the LOTS (lower order thinking skills) exam, which is simply memorizing stuff!
The team can improve next academic by
studying and preparing for the exams earlier. We could start preparing for the
exam 1 week before the day, so that we could get better scores.
Our team has improved a lot in our
initiative, because we become more motivated day by day. We also become more
self-discipline; we try to do all our work without the teacher reminding us! We are also more organized than before, we used to have all our books and note books mixed up in other’s locker, but now, all of our things are organized in the correct
place. We also have better teamwork. We work better together, especially when
we make this portfolio (as you guys say... the blog!). Our leadership is also increasing and by that, we mean, getting better! We lead people
better as time goes by. Our knowledge also grows day by day, because we keep on
researching and reading the book day by day and the fact in the book and from
our research will stick on our brain, making us smarter.
Hope that we can become a better student! Thanks for reading (if you did)!
