Week 12, Class 2

Today, is just like any other day, no worries, no more April fools, but, we have the last teachers who will teach for this round. *Yipee!*

1. Today, Mr. Rick doesn't come to class late, good job, but bad job... wait... that doesn't make sense... *tee hee*, but anyways, let's get started!

So, at the start of the day, Mr. Rick did his usual routine, he checked who will be the teacher for today, and in our team, Anthea is going to teach, this is what it looks like when he is checking the names in his clipboard:

Then, the class starts! Mr. Rick starts the class by giving the lecture, today's lecture is about "Did Napoleon betray the Revolution?".

2. Napoleon is a smart guy, he did a 2 year study in just 1 year! Isn't that amazing? But anyways, he was awesome. After being that awesome thing, he was crowned as the king, and he ruled more than the other kings, he ruled for 15 years, and the other kings only ruled for less than 2 years.
In the middle of Mr. Rick's lecture, he reminded us about the left wings and the right wings, the left wings are the liberals, they are the radicals (Jacobins), it means that they want to have changes, and they are also known as the crazy ones! The right wings are the conservatives, they want to conserve the place and make it traditional, they are the calm Girondins!
People tired of the politican instability and welcomed a strong leader. Napoleon thinks that he was a good leader already! So, he said: "I intend to keep the Revolution's useful changes, but not to abandonthe good institutions it mistakenly destroyed..."
Back then, there was a revolution, an there were obviously leaders to lead them, the leaders are the nobles and the aristocrats! They were the ones who lead the army, but they killed the aristocrats, so they have no leader to lead them during the battle. :( *Sigh*
To stop all these bad things, there were the Émigrés, these people are the ones who get out of a country. The Émigrés are going out of the country to get  support from their dear friend, the Germans. They pretend to support the Revolution, and then, they take over the country, and this is called a "Coup d'état"! *So Bad!*
3. Then, there was team teaching! Before anything, Mr. did his routine of hitting the table and then he shouted "Teach!" Then, we respond the same exact thing, except, the difference is that we don't say "Teach!", we say "OK!" (2 simple words right there...). But anyways, let's get back on track, so first thing's first, we have the teachings, and this is what it looks like, when the teacher teach the team, and the teacher for this team is Anthea. This is what it looks like when she is teaching the team:

While she was teaching the team, Mr. Rick is going around the room, and grading the teachers, and this is what it looks like:

After the teaching is done, we had a little activity, and it is about RESEARCHING again! The things that we need to research on is the comparative evidence for what happens before and after Napoleon, we have 5 different choices, since 1 team member doesn't come, we chose 4 of them, and the choices are:

- Government
- Individual rights
- Education
- The Church
- Social classes

We are asked to write it in Google Docs, so we did it! And this is what it looks like:

(There are other tabs, from the uses, sorry if it is disturbing)

While we are doing this work, Mr. Rick doodle on the board, and it is quite cool like so:

Then he told us, there is an ocean of knowledge, and the text book is the funnel, If you use the textbook, then you will only get drops, but if you don't use the funnel, you will be swimming there in the ocean of knowledge! This means: (according to Mr. Rick...) Ditch the book!

There is also another section of the drawing, he doodle on the topics, so, 1st, we take 2 topics, then we research on it and we will reach a point where it makes a lot of sense then we will just need to make it in a power point version!  This is what it looks like when Mr. Rick is explaining it to us:

We aren't done with the work, so we will do it for homework. *Noooooo!* We have homework, but it is okay!

4. On what we can improve better next time is to cover 1 to 2 topics and do it deeply for the presentation instead of just covering all the topics, and not explaining them deeply!
