This day is different from the usual days, usually, we have team teaching, and today we don't because we have other stuff to do, like recalling the types of questions we can encounter during the Cambridge exams. And for today, we discussed about the questions, and we try to answer it using the method that Mr. Rick gave us during the first semester.
- Today, no one caught for doing the infractions, so the whole class just start with the lesson. First of all, he shows us 2 videos.
This is the second video.
While the video is playing, the whole class pays attention to the video.
Even Mr. Rick watch the video....
2. After both videos are done, Mr. Rick lectures to the whole class about "Changes in France".
The group also take notes...
There were lots of discussion. Mr. Rick lectured about the "Changes in France" topic. Well... according to the book and any other resources, there are lots of Changes in France. One of the problem is about the taxation. People in France are asked for taxes, and everyone should pay, but in this case, only the 3rd estates pay the taxes, and it was a burden for them, and the 1st and 2nd estates barely payed a thing, so the 3rd estates got kind of mad. The 3rd estates are the middle classes, they are not that rich and obviously not the nobility and they have no royalty at all, and yet, they payed the most tax among the other estates. The 3rd estates really don't want to pay the taxes, just like the nobilities. Others who don't have money have to pay feudal dues which is 50% of their wages. Usually, the feudal dues that come from the nobilities pay their taxes with their lives (help during the war). But now there is no war, so they sit like lazy people. The second problem is that the 3rd estates are working very hard to pay their taxes, while the 1st and 2nd estates are just relaxing and enjoy their lives, without being bothered, because they have lots of money and they don't have to pay taxes.
3. After the lecture is done, Mr. Rick said that we have something to do with papers, so Mr. Rick distributed the papers and we need to do as he said, so what he said is that the whole class needs to write the question he said into the paper, and everyone did exactly that, after that, Mr. Rick ask us to convert the question that he said into "describe" questions. Mr. Rick's question is "Why did the French Revolution started?", then the whole class try to change the question into "describe" question, and we come up something like this "Describe the reason why the French Revolution started." Then we got it correct. The next thing is to convert it into an "explain" question. The Spring team converts it into something that goes like this: "Explain why does the French Revolution start." Then the Spring team got it correct, so the next thing we need to do is to answer it. But he ask us to draw a circle and write the answers there, in the 6 branches.
Mr. Rick ask us to do a little bit of research, and we did the research on pictures...
We did this together and we discussed and argue a lot.
After we are done on coming up with the ideas, Mr. Rick ask everyone to come up with the 2 best ideas and that are most related to each other. So we come up with this....
But, we aren't done with it, so we have it for homework.
4. On the things we need to improve on is that we need to work on things faster, so that we will have lesser homework. :)
